Fernway came to Growth Spark with a beautiful product and beautiful packaging, but their current website was lacking and left much to be desired. The next step in their journey to success was to not only better reflect the Fernway brand across their website, but to better inform their customers why their products are so much better than the competition.
The Solution
Designing for two instances simultaneously , our team was able to kill two birds with one stone by using one design process and cloning the first store to quickly create the eCommerce experience.
We used the packaging materials as the basis to run our design process and ensured the brand had consistent imaging across all customer touch points.

Project Overview
We developed two seperate Shopify instances for Fernway to help aid 2 types of growth functions:
1. Spread Brand Awareness
2. Sell Merchandise

The Problem
Fernway is a budding manufacturer and distributor of award-winning cannabis vapes and products. They are all about celebrating the good life: good food, good music, good scenery, and good company.
Their cannabis vapes are designed for everyone who wants to make the good life even better. They came to Growth Spark with a beautiful product and beautiful packaging, but their current website was lacking and left much to be desired.
The next step in their journey to success was to not only better reflect the Fernway brand across their website, but to better inform their customers why their products are so much better than the competition. On top of that, they also wanted to bolster the brand by selling merchandise to their loyal fans and customers, but because of the distribution laws surrounding cannabis this created an eCommerce problem.
Luckily, they found Growth Spark and all problems were quickly turned into flames of the past.
The Solution
The Fernway project was split into two separate Shopify builds:
1. A purely informational Shopify site to help augment the Fernway brand and merchandise their products better
2. A cloned Shopify store to sell merchandise to their friends, families, and customers.
Our team was able to kill two birds with one stone by using one design process and cloning the first store to quickly create the eCommerce experience. Since there is so much regulation around the cannabis industry, it was important that we separated both experiences to help Fernway avoid and tax, legal, or marketing troubles.
This design process was unique because although the brand did not have much depth besides a sweet logo, they did have some pretty awesome packaging. We used the packaging materials as the basis to run our design process and ensured the brand had consistent imaging across all customer touch points.
We successfully launched both Shopify instances in tandem with updated product merchandising information, a sleek new design that matched their unique and memorable product packaging, and a merchandise store that was able to drive additional revenue and bolster the brand day in and day out.
