Rooted in the decisions made and requirements identified during the Planning Phase, the Delivery Phase is simply the execution of tasks necessary to prepare your website for launch. These tasks are grouped into a few key steps, some of which run in parallel to help speed up the process as much as possible. These steps include Design, Development, Configuration, Testing, and Launch.
The Design step is intended to meet the requirements identified through the Experience Prototyping activity conducted during the Planning Phase. Our focus is on implementing any structural or aesthetic changes that were identified at that time to create a unique and conversion-oriented design for your website.
The Development step is intended to meet the requirements identified through the Systems Mapping and Experience Prototyping activities conducted during the Planning Phase. Our work is spread across three primary activities: implementing custom functionality, adding content management capabilities and setting up any necessary integrations for your website.
The Configuration step is intended to populate and configure the website with all of the required content and settings prior to Launch. In addition to this general configuration and implementation of your content, we’ll also provide an in-depth training session so you have a complete understanding of how to manage your website going forward.
The Testing step is intended to verify compatibility and functionality of the website prior to launch. Testing is broken into three components: analyzing site performance, compatibility with various devices/browsers and general systems testing to ensure all integrations work as planned.
The Launch step is intended to handle the full process of smoothly launching your website. It includes implementing 301 redirects, backing up relevant files, updating DNS settings, configuring any remaining analytics systems and monitoring 404 errors post-launch.
